Silver Chalice Wicca 'Zine #26Akhilandeshvari — The Goddess Never-Not-BrokenOctober/November 2011
Editor's NoteMerry Meet! Welcome to the Silver Chalice Wicca 'Zine! This issue is bringing you something different... As you may know, if you follow Wicca Spirituality on Facebook or Twitter, I recently lost my dad, and this launched me into an unexpected, powerful time of grieving and transformation. This resulted in my stepping back for a while from my ordinary work and activities. I've surrendered to this process of deep inner change. This is what I've been completely focused on. So much so, that even on FB and Twitter, instead of the usual kind of posts, I've been sharing the insights and experiences of this Transformation. So when it came time to put out this issue of the Silver Chalice, I was in a quandary. I can't leave this transformative Cauldron before I'm fully cooked, so to speak, to write the usual 'Zine content. And it feels even more important than usual to me, right now, to be authentic — to not write in my usual perkiness when that's not at all where I am. So what to do for this 'Zine? I asked the Goddess, and She gave me a wonderful solution. I was inspired to introduce a fairly unknown Goddess (Goddesses are always popular fare), who is all about these times when everything falls apart — Akhilandeshvari, the Goddess Never-Not-Broken. This is a very timely introduction, too , as the world we've known undergoes massive changes on every level. So this issue, I'm offering three articles on this amazing Goddess. I hope you enjoy meeting Her as much as I have. P.S. I apologise for the tardy delivery — unexpected events in my day job caused an unavoidable delay.
