I wish I could offer myself as mentor to all the people who ask, but I get so many of these requests: there's no way to do them all, and it wouldn't be fair to pick one above the others.

However, I think the best training that's available without a personal teacher is the Wicca Spirituality School: A Year & A Day: 53 Weeks to Becoming a Wiccan.

I started this Wicca School precisely because I can't do this individually... and I do want to help everyone learn how to make the most of Wicca.

In fact, I think that in many ways this course may even be better than one-on-one tutoring.

About This Wicca School

What Wiccan Tradition Does This Wicca School Teach?

The Magick & Mystery Wicca School teaches the Wicca Spirituality¹ method, which I call "Earth-Based Enlightenment."

¹ There is a distinct difference between "Wiccan spirituality" and "Wicca Spirituality."

Wiccan spirituality refers to the Wiccan religion in general.

Wicca Spirituality refers to a branch of Wicca that is particularly focused on the spiritual, mystical, gnostic approach to Wicca.

This path is much more focused on spiritual development and union with the Divine than any others I've seen, and training in it is a life-changing experience.

It's that, more than the "religion" or dogma of Wicca, that is my speciality.

The primary credos in Wicca Spirituality are...

	Nature is Divine made manifest — so the Earth, your body, and life itself are sacred
	Everything has consciousness
	Thought + Energy creates reality — therefore life is a mirror of our spiritual/energy states
	We can work with Nature to change our lives and influence the world — in fact, it's our Mission to be co-creators of reality with the Divine

There is a sample lesson online — it's not 100% identical to the rest of the course in terms of the visual design, but it shows the quality of material.

Payment Questions

Are Your Classes Free?

While all the information on my website is free, and the Silver Chalice Wiccan 'Zine is also free, A Year And A Day: 53 Weeks to Becoming a Wiccan is not.

There is, however, a sliding scale for those who need financial assistance.

What Does the Course Cost?

There's a sliding scale, depending on what you can afford.

The real cost for the course is $70/month, and for what you receive, that's a great bargain — still less per lesson than other Wicca Schools.

But I know that many people these days are struggling to keep afloat financially, and I want to make this priceless education accessible to everyone. Hence the sliding scale.

That gives you various options. The lowest price is $25/month. This is at least 4-5 times less than most online Wiccan schools, because for the same price you get 4 or 5 lessons — depending on the month — instead of a single lesson per month. (Not to mention that the high spiritual quality of the course multiplies even that!)

However, I ask that you pay as much as you honestly can, to support the work and to maintain a healthy Energy balance between you as student and me as teacher.

Paying Without Paypal or Credit Card

If you have a credit card but can't use Paypal, there are 2 other options to pay for enrolment in A Year & A Day: 53 Weeks to Becoming a Wiccan.

One option is to go to this page, and click on the button to make a donation to Wicca-Spirituality.com with your credit card.

Please mark in the "Comments To Seller" that this is the first of four installments for AYAAD, and when I receive that notification, I'll start your enrolment manually.

With this method, you'll need to pay for 3 or 6 months at once, or the whole course — we can't do this option monthly.

Then you just need to remember to do that every quarter or half a year. The system will suspend you after 3 months, to help you remember.

I hope you don't mind, but I'm likely to forget otherwise, in all the confusion.

Then just follow the instructions you'll receive, regarding filling out your Registration Form and setting up your email, and you'll be rolling!

No Credit Card?

If you don't have a credit card or can't use Paypal, you can still get into the course by paying the whole year at once by cheque or (possibly, if it works from your country to mine) money order.

This is slower, since we must wait for the cheque to arrive, to be deposited, and to clear before you’ll be enrolled in the course. But at least it's possible to join the Wicca School without a credit card!

Scholarship

I know that even $25 is out of reach for some people. I've struggled to live on a ridiculously small income myself, when I was younger and in ill health, so I know what it's like.

My plan is to create a scholarship program for the course.

The idea so far is that I'll hold open a few spots for scholarship students each year, plus add a spot for every student who's paying the full price for the course. I don't have time to put it together for this year, unfortunately; I'm hoping to start it for next year.

There's already a waiting list, but at least it's a possibility for those who can't swing it any other way.

Sharing the Lessons with a Friend

It's wonderful to go through this course with someone else, especially someone close to you. Not only does it enhance your learning, but it's more satisfying and fun to share an experience like this.

I would ask that you both enrol in the course individually, though.

I've made this course as comprehensive as I possibly could... and then offered it at the most affordable rate I could — a fraction of what other schools charge... and of its true value. When you give my work to someone else, you violate the respect between teacher and student by dishonouring my efforts to bring you such a high-quality training program.

Of course, it’s ultimately up to you. There’s no way I could enforce this, even if I wanted to.

How to Get Started In the Course

When to Start

The Wicca School course is ongoing... you can join whenever you wish. You don't have to do the lessons along with the calendar of seasons.

If you start in January, you'll receive the lessons about the Wiccan holidays just before they actually happen. For example, the first Sabbat it covers (in depth) is Eostara, which is on March 21 (usually). The lesson for Eostara comes out the week before that.

Of course, that's if you live north of the equator. If you live in the Southern Hemisphere, that would mean starting in July.

I personally think doing the course in sync with the seasons is a great way to do it, but it's not really necessary. I'm not even sure it's important... most of the students in A Year And A Day: 53 Weeks to Becoming a Wiccan aren't taking in time with the seasons, and no one has complained about that.

Like every in Wicca, it's up to you, really; whichever way you want to do it is fine.

But if you want to know more about it, here's how it works...

Syncing with the Seasons / Sabbats

If you join 3 or 4 weeks before Imbolc, you'll go through all the lessons in alignment with the seasons and Sabbats.

That means you receive the lesson about Fire in the corresponding Summer season, and you receive the lessons about the Sabbats about 4-7 days in advance of them, giving you time to prepare for each celebration.

I personally think that's the ideal way, but most people don't bother with the calendar and just take it whenever they can. So few things in life are truly "ideal."

Some people actually prefer taking them separate from what's going on with the calendar...

Some want to have more time to go through the lessons and prepare far in advance

Some say they like not being on the synced schedule — less pressure and such

Some want a lot of the lessons under their belt before they start really celebrating the Sabbats

And some want to study a lot before doing their Dedication

Then for all the Sabbats and seasons after this year, they'll be more than ready!

On the other hand, some people prefer to get the lessons at the same time as the seasonal holidays are celebrated.

It's really up to you, and whatever you think will work best for you.

I don't know that it's better to wait, really. Who wants to wait any longer than necessary for this kind of wonderful experience!

Catching Up with the Synced Lessons

If you started late in January or in February (or July/August, if you live south of the equator), and you want to do some quick catch-up work, you could still switch classes and take the lessons in line with the Sabbats.

You'd need to email me to get this set up.

The catch is that you'd need to do the 3 preparatory lessons really quickly.

If that doesn't give you enough time, then the best thing is just to go with where you are now.

I'm not sure when it's "too late" to catch up... it depends on your motivation and speed of reading.

But once past Eostara, it's best to let go of the idea to do them in sync.

Every week, you’ll receive an email which tells you a bit about the new lesson, and gives you the link to access it.

You click on the link — or if that doesn’t work, copy and paste the link into your browser — and you’ll be taken directly to the login page.

After logging in, you’ll be taken to the new lesson.

How Are They Completed?

A Year And A Day: 53 Weeks to Becoming a Wiccan is a self-study course, for your own illumination. You complete the readings and Wiccan Adventures on your own.

There are review questions at the end of each lesson, to help you remember what you've learned, as well as to make sure you've caught all the important aspects of the week's topic.

There are also Reflection questions to help you integrate the lesson and explore what it really means. These questions, reflected upon and journalled about, are vital tools in your spiritual development.

And there are tips on what to put into your Grimoire or Book of Mirrors.

It's all in your hands, though. You complete the lessons however works best for you.

How Long Should the Lessons Take?

It's really hard to say how much time it'll take any one person: everyone is so different.

I'd say the minimum needed by most people is an hour or so for the reading, and 1 - 3 hours for the Adventures (most weeks).

But it depends. Maybe your reading speed is slower than that — often a good thing! It means you're probably taking the information deeper within!

And some lessons are more complex, or simply longer than others.

Ultimately, it's meaningless to think in terms of how much time you should spend on the lessons. The more important question is... how much are you getting out of them?

After all, you're not doing this just to get it over with, right?

You're doing this to really learn something, to experience spiritual reality, maybe to change yourself in a positive way. So think in terms of what you can bring to this training.

What you get out of it is directly proportional to what you put into it, of course… just like everything else.

Do You Have a Course/Topic Outline?

Not for public viewing, no. The course is set up to lead you step-by-step through an experience of Wicca, as a spiritual training process, so it's not appropriate to explain the path beforehand.

That being said, the course information webpage gives you a good idea of what's covered.

About the Course

Are There Tests or Exams?

Other than the review questions and suggestions for self-reflection, no tests are given in this course.

After all, this isn't grade school. The point isn't to score a certain mark, but to learn, integrate, practice, and live your spiritual path! You don't need exams for that — in fact, they'd be a distraction.

The only test is, essentially, whether you are actually gaining spiritual benefit from your time...

	Greater happiness, peace, and well-being
	Empowerment and ability to make things happen in your life
	More self-awareness
	Healing of old traumas and freedom from limiting patterns or beliefs
	Increasing awareness of Energy and subtle reality
	And most of all, increasing connection with the Divine

Are There Additional Books/Supplies Needed and/or Recommended?

Nope!

There are links in some lessons to additional resources — articles online or on my site, book links, and such, for those who are interested. But nothing else is required for completion of this course.

In other words, you can read extra, but everything that's necessary for the course is already contained within it.

Is There Another Course Following This One?

Yes, there will be a second course with more advanced studies, particularly advanced magickal- and Energy-training, healing, psychic development, and various courses that aren't appropriate for beginners.

At this time, however, I'm still putting the finishing touches on this course.

It'll be a while before the advanced course is ready.

Are There Other Classes Offered (Tarot, Stones, Herbs, etc.)

There's Tarot covered in this course, with other divination tools touched on. And working with stones and herbs and things is introduced, but specific subjects like this will be covered in more detail in the second level course.

Where Does the Class Material Come From?

All material is written by me, most of it channelled directly from the Goddess for this course. There are some lessons that owe a debt of gratitude to others; they are acknowledged in the lessons.
